Unveiling our final solution. Our final model sits nicely on surfaces as well as mounted to the wall. The brackets would ideally be die-cut steel and the boxes would be rotomolded.

Team Mobil brought the cart to Greens Grow to test it out.

Greens Grow’s flower pot containers fit perfectly into our storage compartments.

There tools look great on our cart!

Team Mobil, In an Urban Farm Near you…

Here’s the link to a map we did a few weeks ago showing the relationship of Greensgrow to other food in within only a few blocks of their location. It’s interesting to see just how close they are to a highly traveled area with a lot of access to fast food and chain restaurants. Even a 1% increase in their business from more visibility could make a big difference.

Our final ads and informational front gate sign for Mill Creek.
Jade and Jo have not seen the finished signs yet but hopefully they will like them just as much or even more then they liked our first prototype they saw, “okra here”. Now that the final Mill Creek and Greengrow signs are done I think they speak the same language even though they are different in their own ways, but that’s what makes them unique for each farm. Now we get to physically see the simalirities and differences.
We took our produce containers to Solly Brothers farm and interviewed Bob about our
containers. He was pleased and happily critiqued our design. We found it interesting
that our lid design was good enough for larger produce and produce that stands on end
such as asparagus. Also he liked the idea of how it can be taken from the field and put
directly to display. Watch and see his opinion on our urban produce container.

Here is our rendered plastic model on display at an open air urban farmer’s market.

This design is the final concept for our plastic produce container.
The callouts are updates from our original design.
These are the changes we’ve made from the previous prototype. It’s now only 2 parts: bracket and container.
