Our Model On the Move Thursday 04.30.09 0 by bethany

Here is the functioning model of our produce box in the works. We have got the structure together but have

not put the finishing touches on it quite yet. Our final design of the container will be slightly different; it will

be more stylized like the plastic milk crate container. We plan to put the side panel graphics on the side of

the box and also we plan to prime the MDF and then paint it in a more plastic looking brown.

Final Brackets Thursday 04.30.09 0 by Carson Sio

Here’s a rendering of our final brackets.  We chose to go with a fleur de lis insignia, but conceivably it could be any shape as long as it has the two hooks for hanging the troughs and the tab for mounting in wet mortar.

and this bracket shows that the tab can be modified to be integrated into any building material, be it brick and mortar or even prefab panels

Greenable Thursday 04.30.09 0 by jackie

We’ve found a few great sponsers for our project, including this awesome Philadelphia based company called Greenable.

Greenable is an excellent resource for interior and exterior green building materials. They have everything from paint to countertops made out of recycled detergent bottles and they do everything from a green roof installation to an entire design project.

“With each material sale or project, we conserve resources, save energy, reduce CO2, support local economies, and protect the health of people and the environment.”
