Besides sketching, we worked on models with simple interventions, like putting the traditional wax box at a display angle.

Besides sketching, we worked on models with simple interventions, like putting the traditional wax box at a display angle.

We started sketching ideas of stackable containers that would incorporate a display angle with the distributing box. Also, we wanted to try and keep the aesthetic of the traditional distributing crate.

This is a map that describes the farmer’s interaction with the packaging container. Also shown is some research of the process.

Through our research we came across the packaging containers used in today’s agricultural system.

This is a map of the places we did our research. We found out a lot about the process
of distributing and displaying produce in all types of markets and farms.

We did heavy research into different types of distribution containers and display containers in an urban setting.

We also looked into the distribution and display processes in the suburban and commercial farming industry.

Container group consists of Bethany Casperite, Elissa Meyers and John Pender. We are looking at the packing, packaging, distribution and display processes used in the field of farm stand/market culture. Our group is working on a design that fulfills the needs of the farmer to package produce and deliver it to the stand. We plan to incorporate a display system in with a modular distributing container that is organized, reusable and easy for the farmer to use.
